This event brings together individuals with an interest in one or many pillars of public health and zoonotic disease. These include One Health, emerging diseases, food safety, comparative medicine, environmental health, antimicrobial stewardship just to list a few. We encourage participants (attending and presenting) from local public health, provincial and federal government, industry collaborators and academic faculty and students.
As a one day event, the symposium promises to provide presentations touching on innovative research, emerging disease strategies, technology development and more. Our scientific poster display will showcase the strength and breadth of the graduate research and public health programs here at the University of Guelph and beyond.
This year the keynote speaker will be Dr. Kirk Leifso, a Pediatric Infectious Diseases specialist from Queen’s university presenting ‘Lyme disease from a clinicians perspective: Issues with diagnosis and management. The full program is now available on the main symposium page.
